He has been member of the Prague Brass Ensemble since its foundation. He has graduated from the Prague Conservatory and Academy of Musical Arts in Prague.

In 1977 he became thr first Trumpet player of the Film Symphony Orchestra and since 1979 he has been a Solotrumpet player of the State Opera in Prague. From 1984 to 1994 he was a profesor at the Prague Conservatory. As a soloist he works with the czech outstanding organists (A.Bárta, J.Kalfus) and above all with the chamber orchestra Virtuosi di Praga and with them he recorded a lot of CDs and performed in soloconcerts in the Czech Republic and abroad.
